White Crystal Agate Serving Tray with Clear Quartz Handles
About the Agate
Clear quartz is what sets this tray apart. The handles are cut from a colorless stone that carries its own internal fractures and veils, so instead of reflecting like glass they break light up and scatter it.
The top is white crystal agate: pale, banded in white and cream, with crystal pockets where the layers were cut through. A clear handle beside a white top keeps the whole piece in one register, with no second color introduced.
How It’s Made
The 9" x 14" plate is built from agate of similar tones and colors joined with a clear epoxy resin, poured over the pieces so they set as one firm surface. That stone is then trimmed with electroformed brass, real metal grown onto it and permanently bonded rather than a leaf or coating that can rub off. The quartz handles are trimmed with electroformed brass in the same way, and the finish runs across the handles and the tray together.
Details
- Material: white crystal agate, pieces of similar tones and colors joined by a clear epoxy resin poured over them to make one firm plate
- Size: 9" x 14"
- Finish: silver, rose gold or gold electroformed, on the handles and the tray
- Handles: clear quartz trimmed with electroformed brass
- Food use: serve with a liner or servingware rather than setting food straight onto the stone
Natural stone decides the rest, so the veiling inside the quartz and the pattern across the top are different on every tray.
A Gift For
The clear handles keep this one neutral, which is why it is the version people choose when they are buying for someone else's home. It suits a wedding, a housewarming, an anniversary, or corporate and client gifting.
Use and Care
Wipe the stone and the metal with a soft, damp cloth and dry them at once. Serve on a liner or with servingware rather than putting food onto the stone.
